Berlin’s largest spiritual open-air festival will take place at the end of next week: the Ratha-yatra 2024! As always, you can also do your part. We tell you how:
The countdown has started…
Jagannatha would like to be back on the streets of Berlin in 2024. Very soon.
On Saturday, June 29th, we will start with the grand parade at 11:30 a.m. at Dorothea-Schlegel-Platz, right next to the Friedrichstraße S-Bahn station. So we are not at the temple, but a few kilometres farther south, right in the centre of Berlin. We walk south along Friedrichstraße, turn at Checkpoint Charlie and return to the starting point.
From around 2 p.m. onwards, you can marvel at a great stage program lasting several hours and enjoy delicious prasadam.
Not only the Indian Ambassador will show up, but also Sacinandana Swami, Bhakti Bhushana Swami, Premanjali from New York, Gour Krishna, Surabhi from Radhadesh and Chaitanya Chintamani from the United Kingdom, Hari Kirtan from Mayapur, as well as the traveling musicians of Harinam Ruci. Many great kirtaniyas will also be there the day after, on June 30th, in the Mahalaya yoga studio, when we invite you to Kirtan Day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (more on that in our event ‘6 hours of Kirtan on Sunday‘).
